Mississippi State University (MSU) has again partnered with the Mississippi Institutions of Higher Learning to host the Legal Issues Conference on the Starkville campus April 29 – May 1, 2015.

Concurrent session topics will include: Continuing Education for Title IX Compliance; De-escalating Student Crisis Situations; Threat Assessment; 1st Amendment Issues; Clery Act Reporting and Campus Security Authorities; Mandated treatment for students; the Campus SAVE Act; Advising Student Groups; and Responding to campus crisis.

Dana Chair and Director, Center for Excellence in Higher Education Law and Policy; Rachel Gettler, J.D., Staff Attorney, U.S. Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights; Brian Van Brunt, Ed.D., Senior Vice President for Professional Program Development and partner with NCHERM; Robert Shibley, J.D., FIRE's Legislative and Policy Director; Laura Rothstein, J.D., Professor of Law and Distinguished University Scholar, Louis D.
